Biography
Burak Tozkoparan was born on 14 November 1992 in Istanbul to parents from Rize. He started in music as a drummer, won first prize in the instrumental category of the 14th Vodafone Inter-High School Music Competition in 2011 and later drummed for the bands Pervane and Dört X Dört.
He studied cinema and television at Okan University on a full scholarship. In 2014 he made his acting debut as Ozan Gürpınar in Star TV‘s Paramparça and stayed for three seasons. His first film was Hesapta Aşk (2016). He then played Ali in Kırgın Çiçekler (2017 to 2018), Cem in Tek Yürek, Zola in Gençliğim Eyvah and Emir Bindal in Menajerimi Ara (2020 to 2021), followed by Temur Tegin in Destan, Barbaros in Ateş Kuşları and Cihan in Siyah Kalp.
He is 1.82 m tall with blue eyes and keeps a low public profile. In 2026 he joined atv’s Hamal as Tekin, whose romance with Yasemin Yazıcı’s Hilal is one of the series’ love stories.
