Biography
Damla Colbay was born on 14 January 1993 in İzmir‘s Karşıyaka district and studied performing arts at the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts. She came to Istanbul for a university internship, auditioned for atv’s Kara Para Aşk and won the role of Demet, her television debut in 2014.
In 2015 she had her first lead as İnci in Hayat Mucizelere Gebe. Her best-known role is the journalist Eylem in İçerde (2016 to 2017), alongside Çağatay Ulusoy and Aras Bulut İynemli. She also played Zeynep Can in Hekimoğlu (2019 to 2021), the action lead Sare Türkmen in Yalnız Kurt (2022) and Nisan in Sıfırıncı Gün.
After a year away from the screen she returned in 2026 as Defne in the seventh season of TRT 1‘s Teşkilat, which premiered on 20 September 2026.
