Biography
Merih Öztürk was born on 28 December 1999 in Düzce to an Abkhaz father and a mother from Arhavi. She appeared on camera as a child, including in the 2006 film Son Osmanlı Yandım Ali. She later modelled, finishing third at Best Model of Turkey 2018, and trained in acting, diction and stagecraft.
Her first notable role was Güney in the sci-fi series Börü 2039 on BluTV. She had her first lead as Jovanka, a Macedonian girl, in TRT 1’s Balkan Ninnisi (2022 to 2023), and later led atv’s Başım Belada as Leyla and TRT 1’s Kara Ağaç Destanı as Gülnaz.
In September 2026 she took the female lead of Kanal D‘s drama Haysiyet as Simay Tarman, a principled young woman with a strong sense of justice.
