Biography
Ömer Levent Ülgen was born on 8 August 1962 in Cihanbeyli, Konya. He graduated first in his class in physics at METU, then from the theatre department of the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. He worked at Ankara Halk Tiyatrosu and Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu before joining the State Theatres as an actor and director.
He became widely known in 2002 as Kadir, the scheming son-in-law in En Son Babalar Duyar, whose catchphrase “Hallederiz” gave him the nickname “Hallederiz Kadir”. He later played Sinan Kaya in Akasya Durağı, Necmi İplikçi in Kiralık Aşk and İbo in Aile, and hosted the quiz show Bir Kelime Bir İşlem on TRT 1.
He married Ziynet Şafak in 2014 and has a son, Eris. In 2026 he joined atv’s Baba Yapım drama Aynı Yağmur Altında as Faik Aydan, a businessman, opposite Deniz Uğur as his on-screen wife Hümeyra.
