Biography
Aslıhan Güner is a Turkish actress born in Istanbul on December 17, 1987, who has built a career across historical epics and contemporary drama with a consistency that reflects both her training and her genuine seriousness about the craft. She is best known internationally for her work in Diriliş: Ertuğrul, but her career spans a much wider range of formats and registers.
Early life and education
Aslıhan Güner grew up in Istanbul in a family of mixed heritage — her father is of Arab descent and her mother from Malatya. She has four siblings. She studied Public Relations at Beykent University, building an understanding of communication and public identity that has served her well in a career that has always involved a degree of public-facing work. She made her television debut in Sırlar Dünyası in 2002, at a relatively young age, and has maintained a steady presence in the industry ever since.
She married actor Mert Kılıç, her co-star from Şefkat Tepe, in 2013.
Awards and recognition
Aslıhan Güner spent several years building her profile through the long-running comedy-drama Şefkat Tepe (2010–2014) as Zeynep and appeared in the film Selam: Bahara Yolculuk (2015). The international phase of her career arrived with Diriliş: Ertuğrul (2014–2019), in which she played Karaca Hatun across five seasons — a role that contributed to the series’ extraordinary global reach and introduced her to audiences far beyond Turkey. She went on to star as Yıldız Kadıoğlu in Kuzey Yıldızı: İlk Aşk (2019–2021), the lead role in a romantic drama series that brought her nationwide fame and multiple award nominations for Best Actress. Her breadth of work across action-historical drama and romantic series confirms a performer who has never settled into a single type.
