Burak Özçivit will represent “Güneşin Doğduğu Yer” at one of the world’s most important television content markets. The actor is traveling to Cannes, France this month to pitch the series to international broadcasters and streaming platforms.
Taking Turkish Drama to the Global Market
Özçivit will attend MIPCOM, the annual content fair held October 12–15 in Cannes, as a representative of ATV. On opening day, he will visit the network’s booth and participate in an evening reception with international broadcasters, platform executives, and foreign media representatives. The appearance is part of ATV’s push to sell “Güneşin Doğduğu Yer” to overseas markets.

“Güneşin Doğduğu Yer,” filmed in Adana, is currently in production. Özçivit is due back on set October 13, the day after his Mipcom appearance, meaning he’ll attend the event and return to Turkey to continue filming. Producer Burak Sağyaşar is accompanying the actor to the fair.
