Storyline
Serhat is a man who has built a stable life in the city, far from the southeastern Turkish village where he grew up and the complicated family history he left behind. When his roots call him back — not metaphorically, but through a concrete crisis that leaves him no choice — the show begins its examination of what it means to be from somewhere and whether that somewhere ever really lets you go.
Halef aired on FOX starting in September 2025 and has carried strong ratings through two seasons. The Black Sea and southeastern settings give it a visual distinctiveness, and the ensemble cast — with İlhan Şen and Biran Damla Yılmaz at the centre — grounds the more dramatic storylines in something that feels lived-in rather than constructed. 46 episodes and counting.
