Storyline
Karakuyu is an upcoming Kanal D drama produced by OGM Pictures. Ferda has built a life away from her past, and she returns to her hometown after news of an unexpected inheritance. There she runs into old family conflicts and local power struggles, and tries to protect her siblings.
Her tense, conflict-filled relationship with Kahraman sits at the centre of the story. Early versions of the script were built around a different character, Fikriye, and the story was later reworked around Ferda’s return.
The series is directed by Nezaket Coşkun and written by Deniz Akçay. It is being filmed in Tokat. Kanal D has said it will reach viewers soon, but the premiere date and broadcast day have not been announced.
