Early life and education
Biran Damla Yılmaz was born on June 28, 1997, in Istanbul, Turkey. From childhood she was drawn to the arts, and her talent was recognized early enough for her to begin working as a child actress before completing her formal education. She attended Pera Fine Arts High School, an institution known for nurturing students with a genuine commitment to the creative disciplines. There she focused on theatre, developing both the vocal technique and the physical command that her later screen roles would demand. A trained musician as well as an actress, she brings a layered sensitivity to performance that reflects years of artistic dedication.
Awards and recognition
Biran Damla Yılmaz became a household name among young Turkish audiences through her role as Eylül Acar Göktürk in the emotional drama Kırgın Çiçekler, which ran from 2015 to 2018 and made her one of the most recognizable faces of her generation. Her performance earned her a nomination for the Pantene Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actress in a Youth Series in 2016. She moved on to prove her range in the prime-time drama Baraj (2020–2021), playing the lead role of Nehir Aksu, and later joined the popular series Yasak Elma (2021–2023) as Kumru Yıldırım. Her role in the 2019 film Mucize 2: Aşk further demonstrated her capacity for heartfelt storytelling on the big screen. By 2024 she had become one of Turkey’s most followed young actresses.
