Diriliş: Ertuğrul

It is the 13th century, and the Kayı tribe is fighting to survive. Ertuğrul Bey is not yet a conqueror — he is a warrior leading a nomadic people through a world full of enemies: the Mongols pressing from the east, the Crusaders to the west, and local rulers who see the Turks as expendable. He has no throne yet. He has no empire. What he has is conviction and a sword, and the belief that the weak deserve to be protected.

What made Diriliş: Ertuğrul reach audiences far beyond Turkey was not just the battles, though those are well done. It was Ertuğrul himself — a man who wrestles with justice, carries his failures, and builds something brick by brick over five seasons. The series never lets you forget how close everything was to going wrong.
