Early life and education
Aybüke Pusat was born on February 25, 1995, in Ankara, Turkey. Growing up in the capital city, she showed a natural aptitude for performance from a young age, gravitating toward both movement and drama. She pursued formal training at Hacettepe University’s Ankara State Conservatory, where she studied ballet — an artistic discipline that sharpened her physical expressiveness and stage presence. Alongside her conservatory studies, she also enrolled at Anadolu University to complete a degree in Business Administration, demonstrating a practical side to balance her creative ambitions. This dual education gave her both the discipline of classical training and a grounded outlook on her career.
Awards and recognition
Aybüke Pusat broke into television through Medcezir, Turkey’s adaptation of The O.C., where she played Elif Denizer with a vulnerability that earned immediate attention. She followed that with O Hayat Benim and the youth drama Beş Kardeş, steadily building a reputation for emotional depth. Her role as Bahar Kutlu Karasu in the military drama Söz brought her to a wider national audience, and she continued to impress in Şahin Tepesi, Her Yerde Sen, and the Netflix original 50M2. More recently she has taken on complex characters in Alef: Mâl-i Hülya and the espionage thriller Teşkilat. Her work in Medcezir earned her the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016, affirming her place as one of her generation’s most versatile talents.
