Storyline
Seyran is a young woman from a traditional family who marries into the Korhan household — one of Istanbul’s old waterfront families with money, history, and complications that are only visible from the inside. Ferit is the grandson she is matched with, a man who has made a life of keeping people at arm’s length. Yalı Çapkını is the story of two people who married the wrong way for complicated reasons trying to figure out whether anything real can grow inside the arrangement they have ended up in.
Star TV ran the series from November 2022 to April 2025, 101 episodes across three seasons, with a TMDB rating of 8.4. Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Ramazan Demir led a cast set largely in the Bosphorus waterfront houses that give the show its visual identity. The series was one of the defining romantic dramas of its era and built an international following, particularly in the Arab world through its MBC distribution.
