Storyline
Two families from completely different social worlds are brought together by marriage. The Arslans are secular, educated, and urban. The Ünals are conservative, religious, and rooted in traditional values. Kızılcık Şerbeti is the story of what happens to both families once that boundary has been crossed — who changes, who doesn’t, and how much friction a shared life can contain before something breaks.
Running on Show TV since October 2022, the series has reached five seasons and over 170 episodes, which puts it among the longest-running current dramas on Turkish television. It has been a persistent ratings performer and a frequent topic of public conversation — the kind of show that people who don’t watch it still know about. The social tensions it dramatises are genuine, and the series treats them seriously enough that both sides of those tensions can find something in it.
