Çukur

The Koçovalı family runs Çukur — a rough neighbourhood in Istanbul that they have controlled for decades. When Yamaç, the youngest son who tried to leave all of that behind, is pulled back to protect his family, he has to become something he spent his whole life avoiding. Çukur is a story about a man losing the version of himself he preferred, and the family that needs him to.

Four seasons, 131 episodes, and a cast that keeps growing as the show expands its world. At the centre of it is Aras Bulut İynemli as Yamaç — a performance that is genuinely difficult to look away from — and İbrahim Çelikkol as his brother Cumali, whose relationship with Yamaç gives the series much of its emotional weight. Show TV, 2017 to 2021.
