Arafta

Two families whose lives cross in the worst possible way — a traffic accident that kills the same people from different sides — are left trying to understand what they owe each other and what they owe themselves. The title means purgatory in Turkish, which is exactly where the characters spend most of the series: suspended between what happened and what comes next, unable to move forward and unable to go back.

Arafta is a web drama that started on Kanal 7 and YouTube in November 2025 and has since built one of the largest audiences of any digital-first Turkish production — 144 episodes across two seasons, and a TMDB rating of 9.1 that reflects an unusually passionate viewership. It is not a show that tries to be cinematic. It is a show that has found an enormous number of people who need exactly what it is giving them.
