Biography
Serdar Özer was born on 21 January 1980 in Istanbul and studied tourism and hotel management at Girne American University in Northern Cyprus. He made his acting debut in 2003 in Hekimoğlu.
He became known as Maksut in Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün (2014 to 2015) and internationally as Cihan Şadoğlu in Hercai (2019 to 2021). He also played Prosecutor Serhat in Cesur ve Güzel, Apollon in Kıbrıs: Zafere Doğru, Barkın Bey in Kuruluş Osman and Engin Kargı in Bana Sevmeyi Anlat. An early film credit is the horror film D@bbe (2005).
He is married to Çiğdem Özer and they have a son. Since 2025 he has played Can Tecer in Kanal D‘s Güller ve Günahlar, the brother who took the blame for Azra’s old accident and knows the family’s secrets, including the truth about Kader.
