Biography
Mert Carim was born on 9 November 1986 in Istanbul and works as both an actor and a composer. He made his screen debut in 2015 in the film Delibal, as Ahmet.
Television viewers know him as Oral Abi in Yalaza (2017 to 2018) and Sinan Horanta in Tövbeler Olsun (2020 to 2021), for which he also composed music. His other credits include Sıfırıncı Gün, Yakub Cemil in Mahsusa: Trablusgarb, Hayatımın Neşesi and İbrahim Saymaz in the mini-series Dengeler: Biri Olmak. From 2024 to 2025 he played Kalender in Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı. As a composer he wrote the score for Gökhan Türkmen’s Mahşer.
In 2026 he joined Ay Yapım’s Ömür Usta on NOW as Şahin Karaca, husband of Ömür’s sister Gülsüm and father of Zeynep.
