Biography
Ece Yüksel is a Turkish actress best known for playing İnci Erguvan in the legal drama Yargı and Elif in the Netflix series Love 101 (Aşk 101). Born in Istanbul on October 6, 1997, she made her screen debut as a child in 2008 and has since built one of the most award-laden careers of her generation — working across independent cinema, streaming television and international film.
Early life and education
Ece Yüksel grew up in Istanbul, where she began appearing in school productions from a young age. Her first television role came in 2008, when she was still a child, and it gave her an early taste of the craft that would shape her life. Determined to develop her ability on a solid academic foundation, she enrolled at Kadir Has University to study theatre, taking part in student productions that sharpened her technical skill alongside her instinct for character. She later spent a semester at Erasmus University Rotterdam as an exchange student, returning to Istanbul with a broader perspective on storytelling.Her breakthrough arrived with the 2014 independent film Nefesim Kesilene Kadar, a deeply emotional performance that swept the Turkish festival circuit and confirmed her as a major emerging talent. From there she moved between art cinema and mainstream television, earning critical praise for the ensemble drama A Tale of Three Sisters (Kız Kardeşler, 2018), wide recognition as Elif in Netflix’s Love 101, and long-form acclaim playing İnci Erguvan in the prime-time legal thriller Yargı. In 2022 director George Miller cast her as Gülten in Three Thousand Years of Longing alongside Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton — one of the most high-profile international roles a Turkish actress of her generation has landed.
