Yabani

Yaman grew up outside the boundaries of the family that should have claimed him — left behind, raised rough, shaped by circumstances that gave him very little to trust. When he comes back into the Soysalan family’s orbit as an adult, the show begins its examination of what it means to be claimed by people who were not there when you needed them, and what it means to want them anyway despite that.

Yabani ran on FOX from September 2023 to January 2025, ending after 51 episodes across two seasons with a TMDB rating of 8.8 — one of the highest for any Turkish drama of its era. Halit Özgür Sarı leads as Yaman in what became a breakout role, and the series developed a devoted following across its run. The ending divided viewers but the show itself remains a reference point for what Turkish drama can accomplish when it gets the emotional register right.
