Storyline
Farah Ershadi is an Afghan woman living illegally in Istanbul with her son, doing whatever work she can find to stay in the country and keep them both safe. Tahir Lekesiz is an ex-convict trying to rebuild something after prison. When their lives connect through the circumstances that neither of them chose, Adım Farah becomes a story about two people who cannot afford to trust anyone finding reasons to trust each other anyway.
FOX ran the series in 2023, two seasons and 27 episodes, with a TMDB rating of 8.5. Demet Özdemir and Engin Akyürek reunited on screen for the first time since their earlier series, and the pairing delivered the kind of chemistry that Turkish romantic drama audiences return to. The show also stood out for its attention to the immigrant experience in Istanbul — a subject that Turkish drama rarely takes seriously — and that gave it a texture beyond the central romance.
