Turkish dramas have conquered the world, and two names often mentioned in very different generations of fame are Meryem Uzerli and Özge Törer. Both became globally known through historical roles, yet their journeys, acting styles, and career paths show two very different eras of Turkish television. Meryem Uzerli, born in 1983, shocked the world as Hürrem Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl. Her fiery expressions, emotional power, and unforgettable screen presence turned her into an international icon almost overnight. Even today, her scenes are rewatched, shared, and discussed across cultures. Özge Törer, born in 1998, represents the new generation of historical drama stars. She rose to fame as Bala Hatun in Kuruluş: Osman, winning hearts with her innocence, strength, and emotional sincerity. Unlike Meryem’s bold intensity, Özge’s style feels softer, calmer, and spiritually grounded.
Fun fact: Both actresses became famous through historical queens—one in the Ottoman palace, the other in the founding era of the Ottoman state. So who do you admire more: Meryem’s fiery royal power or Özge’s gentle heroic spirit? Vote your favorite!
