Mehmet Ozan

Mehmet Ozan Dolunay is a Turkish actor who built a following through charismatic lead roles in drama and thriller series. Born on May 2, 1990, in Ankara, Turkey, he took a circuitous path to acting — beginning a degree in engineering at Koç University before switching course to pursue performance, attending acting workshops and gaining his first television credits in the mid-2010s.

Early life and education

Dolunay’s transition from engineering student to actor reflected a genuine passion for performance that proved difficult to sideline. After leaving Koç University he committed fully to acting, quickly earning roles in mainstream Turkish productions. He became more widely known through the thriller drama Zalim İstanbul (2019–2020), where his portrayal of a morally complex character showcased a talent for intense, physically committed drama. He went on to appear in Yürek Çıkmazı (2022) and Kaderimin Oyunu (2024), further building his profile as a versatile lead actor. He was also announced as part of the cast for Salahuddin Ayyubi Season 2, a prestigious historical production that placed him alongside some of Turkey’s most established names.
