The second trailer for Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı Episode 85 completely changes the way we should look at Bahram’s death. At first, it appeared that Bahram’s murder could lead directly to a confrontation between Sultan Mehmed and Uzun Hasan. But the new trailer suggests something much more complicated. The real danger may not be the Ottomans or the Aq Qoyunlu themselves. Someone appears to be deliberately pushing both sides toward war. And the people behind this plan may be much closer to Uzun Hasan than he realizes.
Who Really Killed Bahram?
To understand Episode 85, we need to go back to the events surrounding Bahram’s death.
In the previous episode, Mirza Maksud created a trap that brought Şehzade Bayezid and Şehzade Mustafa directly into the situation.
Bahram was killed.
Afterward, Uzun Hasan came to believe that the Ottoman side was responsible.
But there is an important detail that could completely change the story.
Mustafa did not attack Bahram because he wanted to kill him.
He fired the arrow while attempting to protect his brother, Bayezid.
That means the two Ottoman princes may have been placed in a situation designed by someone else.

The second trailer then shows the next stage of the crisis.
Uzun Hasan sends Sofu Bey to Sultan Mehmed with two major demands.
Demand 1: Koyulhisar Castle
Uzun Hasan wants Koyulhisar Castle.
This is not an insignificant demand because the castle has strategic importance.
For Sultan Mehmed, surrendering it would mean giving up an important position.
Demand 2: Şehzade Mustafa
Uzun Hasan also demands that Şehzade Mustafa be handed over as the person responsible for Bahram’s death.
This demand is even more difficult.
Mehmed would effectively have to accept an accusation against his own son and surrender him to another ruler.
Neither option is acceptable to the Sultan.
Sultan Mehmed Refuses Uzun Hasan’s Demands
When Sofu Bey arrives at the Ottoman palace, he is not simply delivering a diplomatic message.
He is effectively presenting an ultimatum:
Give us Koyulhisar or Mustafa — otherwise prepare for war.
But Sultan Mehmed refuses.
He will not surrender the castle.
He will not surrender his son.
Instead, Mehmed takes another diplomatic step.
