Ertan Saban was born on 4 December 1977 in Skopje, then part of Yugoslavia, into a Turkish family. He studied theatre at the Skopje Faculty of Dramatic Arts and began on the Macedonian stage before moving to Turkey.
He was the lead of Elveda Rumeli (2007 to 2009) and later starred in Göl Zamanı and Kötü Kan (2024) and the film Gölgesizler (2013). He also appeared in the international film The Promise (2016).
He married the actress Ebru Özkan in 2016 and posts on Instagram as @ertansaban. In 2026 he appears in the final season of atv‘s Kuruluş Osman.
