Biography
Ceren Benderlioğlu, born Ceren Şekerci on 1 October 1983 in Kadıköy, Istanbul, graduated from the radio and television department of Trakya University and started acting while still a student. Her early credits include Ekmek Teknesi, Gülbeyaz and Biz Size Aşık Olduk, and her first film was TRT’s Sahildeki Güneş Bahçesi in 2004.
She became known as Seval in Kertenkele and as Ömür Façalı in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (2019 to 2021). Her more recent work includes the films Cici Anne and Ona Niyet Sana Kısmet, Kanal D‘s Eşref Rüya (as Irmak Bozok) and the digital series Adsız Aşıklar (as Gözde).
In 2026 she joined ATV’s Aşk ve Taht as Nurcihan Hatun, known in the palace as “Abla Hatun”, who builds secret alliances to put her brother Celaleddin on the Seljuk throne. She has been married to the actor Emir Benderlioğlu since 2010 and they have a daughter, Nur.
