Biography
Alina Boz is a Turkish actress of mixed Turkish and Russian heritage whose striking looks and emotionally intelligent performances have made her one of the more intriguing presences in Turkish film and television. Born in Moscow on June 14, 1998, to a Turkish father and a Russian mother, she was raised in Turkey and has built a career that feels entirely rooted in the Turkish entertainment tradition while carrying something subtly different in its texture.
Early life and education
Alina Boz grew up in Turkey after her family settled there during her childhood, and she attended Cabbaroglu High School before continuing her education at Istanbul Bilgi University. She began her career as a model before transitioning to acting — a route that provided her with the discipline of camera presence before she had to contend with the demands of sustained character work. Her acting debut came through the television series Paramparça (2014), where she played Hazal Gürpınar — a role that ran for three years and gave her the sustained professional experience that many young actors only dream of.
She has kept her personal life private and has not publicly disclosed any relationship details.
Awards and recognition
Alina Boz established herself through Paramparça (2014–2017) before earning nominations for Best Child Actress and then the Golden Butterfly Shining Star Award (2016) for her growing impact on Turkish television. Her lead role as Azra Güneş in Elimi Bırakma (2018–2019) was praised by both critics and audiences, and she was subsequently named one of the most promising young actresses in Turkey by GQ Türkiye. Her international breakthrough came with Netflix’s Aşk 101 (Love 101, 2020–2021) as Eda — a role that gave her a global audience and triggered a wave of international media attention. She followed this with critically acclaimed performances in Maraşlı (2021) as Mahur Türel and in Bandırma Füze Kulübü (2022), a film based on true events. In 2022 she was honoured with Most Admired Actress of the Year at the Istanbul University Awards, and in 2024 she was included in Forbes Türkiye’s 30 Under 30 list. She was also listed among TC Candler’s Top 100 Most Beautiful Faces in 2023.
