Biography
Seda Bakan was born on 10 October 1985 in Gebze, Kocaeli, to a Bosniak father and a mother of Thessaloniki-Drama immigrant descent. She studied foreign trade at Sakarya University and trained in acting at the TÜRVAK Cinema-TV Education Center. Her television career began with Sana Mecburum in 2007.
Her first well-known role was Eda in Behzat Ç. Bir Ankara Polisiyesi (2010 to 2013), and Feyyza in the comedy Kardeş Payı (2014 to 2015) made her a star. She played Pembe Şeker in Arif V 216 (2018), one of the highest-grossing Turkish films, and later Leyla in Netflix‘s Zeytin Ağacı (2022 to 2024) and Ferda in Mucize Doktor. She married the musician Ali Erel in 2014 and they have two daughters.
In 2026 she returned as Leyla in Zeytin Ağacı’s new Netflix season and also appears in Rüya Gibi.
