Biography
Ahsen Eroğlu is a Turkish actress born in Çorlu, Tekirdağ on October 27, 1994, whose path to the screen was anything but conventional. Having originally pursued a university degree in physical education, she eventually found her calling in front of the camera and has since built a career that blends emotional depth with physical expressiveness — a combination that makes intuitive sense given her athletic background.
Early life and education
Ahsen Eroğlu studied at Ege University’s School of Physical Education — a rigorous and demanding programme that cultivates precisely the kind of physical self-awareness and stamina that performance also requires. She subsequently trained at Sahne 3MOTA acting studio, where she developed the technical grounding to go alongside the physicality she had already honed. Her television debut came in 2015 in Modern Habil Kabil as Zehra, the first of many increasingly prominent roles.
She has kept her personal life private and has not publicly disclosed any relationship.
Awards and recognition
Ahsen Eroğlu built her profile steadily through Anne (2016, as Duru Güneş), İstanbullu Gelin (2018, in a main role) and then Kuzgun (2019) as Kumru Cebeci — a role that brought her critical praise for its emotional depth. Her national profile expanded significantly with Menajerimi Ara (2020) as Dicle Ertem, for which she received a Golden Butterfly nomination for Best Actress in 2021. She went on to star in Cam Tavanlar (2021) and İyi Günde Kötü Günde, and in 2022 won the Best Rising Actress Award at the Turkey Youth Awards — institutional recognition of what audiences had seen for years. She has been consistently listed among the most promising young actresses in Turkish television by international publications.
