Mehmed Fetihler Sultani Episode 14 Summery
Episode 14 of Mehmed Fetihler Sultani follows the attack on Demetrios Castle by Zaganos Pasha and Evranos Ali, led by Catholic warriors. The Crusaders, who had fortified their defenses, were defeated by the Muslim warriors. Sultan Mehmed arrives with his soldiers and a cannon to break the castle gate, allowing the Muslim warriors to enter and resume the fight.
In Constantinople, Byzantine Emperor Constantine is troubled by Sultan Mehmed’s actions, as his mother repeatedly opposes the Catholic alliance. Despite her efforts, she continues to stir discontent among the soldiers, leading to her death.
Qadi Khidr Jalabi becomes suspicious of Fatimid scholar Javed Effendi, who is infiltrating the Ottoman Empire under the Pope’s directive. He has become the custodian of the Sultan’s library and aims to spread heresy among Muslims. They examine Javed Effendi’s books with the Mufti and discover clear heretical content being disseminated among Muslims. They warn Sultan Mehmed about the heretical nature of the books and advise caution, especially regarding Javed Effendi.
Javed Effendi seeks an alliance with Ottoman Minister Ibrahim Candarli to eliminate Khidr Jalabi. Sultan Mehmed visits Javed Effendi in the library and grows suspicious of his intentions. Khidr Jalabi later presents more evidence, revealing that Javed Effendi was seen leaving Minister Candarli’s house, indicating their alliance. Sultan Mehmed intercepts the courier with the letter, confirming Javed Effendi’s betrayal.
To extract a confession, they invite Javed Effendi to Candarli’s house under the guise of an alliance. When Javed Effendi reveals his plans, they reveal themselves, and Javed Effendi is executed. A campaign is launched to arrest and eliminate Javed Effendi’s associates and burn the heretical books, ending the conspiracy against the empire.
